What is reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis is a process that uses pressure to push water and purify it through a membrane. In this technique, water is demineralised or deionized. It is commonly known to as RO. The membrane through which it is passed is semi-permeable and filters out the impurities and sediments in the water. It is a naturally occurring phenomenon and it is made use in the purification of water to give a more drinkable saline solution.
Reverse osmosis is known to effectively supply a higher concentration solution.
